Acceptance of our Conditions of Use

Your reservation is made with the owners trading as Tower House 1066 ("the guest accommodation") and represents a legally binding contract between you and the guest accommodation.

For bookings of 4 nights or more, and/or special events and bank holidays we require a minimum of 7 days notice (prior to stay). For other bookings (prior to stay) a minimum of 48 hours notice is required. Please note that discounted rates for late bookings are non-refundable under any circumstances.

We require a valid credit card to secure bookings and reserve the right to charge the card for cancellations falling outside the permitted time scales, as detailed above. Debit cards are accepted to secure booking then full payment will be taken immediately, by entering into this contract you are authorizing us to make the above charges to the card without any additional consent being required.
It may be advisable to take out insurance cover from your normal supplier to cover cancellation, curtailment, and loss of baggage, personal effects and money.

All published rates include VAT where applicable (and local taxes) at the current rate. Accommodation rates are per room per night, breakfast included. Prices are in sterling.

Requests for particular rooms

Requests for particular rooms by room number can be requested on occasions the owners have the right to change due to unforeseen circumstances. We can't be responsible for changes that have been made to decor and furniture.

Lost property

We cannot accept responsibility for any property lost at the accommodation unless deposited at the office for safe-keeping and a receipt obtained.

Arrival /departure

Check out 10.30am. Unauthorized late checkout will incur a charge

Check in 3.00pm to 9pm. Outside of these hours to be arranged prior to arrival. Luggage can be left earlier only by prior arrangement, and at the guest's risk. Tower House 1066 will not accept liability for luggage left either before, or after, checkout time.

Should you require an earlier check in time, please discuss with Tower House 1066 owners. This is subject to availability and an early check in fee applies.

Credit card handling fee

There is no handling fee for cash or debit cards. Credit card payments will incur a 4% transfer handling fee. Accepted cards are Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Solo and Switch. The accommodation provider reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.

Dietary requirements

We are happy to cater for special dietary needs, such as gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan diets, but please tell us at the time of booking so that we can provide you with a variety of food choices. We regret that we are not able to accommodate any person(s) with a serious and/or life-threatening nut or food allergy as we cannot guarantee the provenance of every item of food in our kitchen.

No Smoking Policy

We are non smoking throughout. Members of the public who breach legislation by smoking in no smoking premises will be liable for a fixed penalty of £50.00. Any bedrooms tainted by residual tobacco odors will be specially cleaned and aired over a 24-hour period and all charges resulting from this, both actual and loss of business (at prevailing B&B rates) will be charged to the credit card given to secure the booking.

Tower House 1066 has a licensed bar

It is requested that no wines, spirits, beers should be brought into the accommodation or accommodation grounds by Clients, their guests or representatives for consumption or sale on the premises without the express written consent of the accommodation owners and for which a charge may be made by the owners. No person under 18 is allowed behind the bar or to consume alcohol in or around the grounds of Tower House 1066


Tower House 1066 cannot allow pets.

Inappropriate Behaviour /noise

We have a zero tolerance policy regarding abusive behaviour (directed at either staff or guest) either verbally or physically or any behaviour/action deemed inappropriate/ disrupting/or unsafe.

The owners reserve the right to evict any client who behaves in such a way, and the credit card will be charged for the full amount without prior consent. Should any actions by a guest be deemed inappropriate by the owner/ duty manager, or if any inappropriate behaviour is brought to the attention of the duty manager, the provider reserves the right, after any allegations have been investigated, to take action against the guest. Depending on the severity of the guest actions, the Police may become involved at the owners discretion, or guests may be asked to leave the accommodation. The grounds and accommodation at Tower House are open for guests 24 hrs we do ask that the noise levels are kept to a minimum from 11pm to 7am for your fellow guests and our neighbors. The accommodation owner reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise.


Children under the age of 12 years must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult to ensure the children's safety and also their behaviour is appropriate for other guests within the accommodation and grounds. There are areas within the grounds that children are not permitted.


It is the policy of the accommodation not to discriminate on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, creed, sex, marital status, age, ethnic origin or disabilility. The accommodation provider may, remove from the accommodation any person or persons offending against this policy.

Statutory requirements

The accommodation provider is subject to statutory controls, including those relating to fire, licensing, entertainment, health, hygiene and safety. These must be strictly observed by customers, representatives and staff.

Tampering with fire detection systems and fire fighting equipment

We reserve the right to take action against any guest found to have tampered / interfered with any fire detection equipment throughout, including detector heads in public areas and bedrooms, break glass points and fire extinguishers. Guests found to have tampered with any fire detection or fire fighting equipment will be charged with any costs incurred by the owners due to their actions and additionally may be asked to leave the accommodation depending on the severity of the guest actions, the Police may become involved at the owners discretion. Should the fact that fire fighting or detection equipment had been tampered with come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guests credit / debit card.

Damage to accommodation property

Should any damage come to light after or before the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest's credit / debit card. We will however make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum. We do reserve the right to charge for the replacement, cleaning or repair of any item(s) belonging to the guest accommodation, or the fabric of the guest accommodation itself, damaged either willfully or because reasonable precautions have not been taken.

Removal of items from accommodation property

We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of replacing any items that are removed from the premises by them without consent. The charge will be the full replacement amount of the missing item, including any carriage charges. Should the fact that the item is missing come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guests credit / debit card.

Please note we may change information on the website /literature and the accommodation details prices and/or these terms, at any time without notice. You should regularly review these terms for any changes. By continuing to use the Site, you agree to any changes, and by providing continued access to the Site we are providing you consideration for agreement to such changes.

Amendments and updates are frequently made to our site and whilst every effort is taken to ensure all information is correct, we cannot guarantee this.

Most browsers automatically accept Cookies, but you can usually change your browser to prevent that if you wish.
